About

My name is Glenn Hascall. Most of my life has been spent entertaining people as class clown, radio announcer, or writer.

I grew up in a family that struggled to make ends meet, but I was generally oblivious to that struggle. Perhaps it was due to the fact that my parents never made it obvious they were struggling. This has always been a precious gift because I never felt deprived and never felt as if my family was somehow inadequate.

It was common for Mom to cut my hair and make my clothes. Dad worked to ensure the vehicles ran well because his mind embraced all things mechanical. We always made due.

The roots of my raising have played a significant role in my approach to economic uncertainty. I don’t turn my eyes away and pretend everything is fine, but I don’t run in sheer terror proclaiming that, “The sky is falling… the sky is falling.”

I hope to be able to share some of what I believe to be the more im

portant things in life, as well as locate people who will share their own stories of making life work in difficult times.

If you believe we will share ‘never before heard of ideas’ then I need you to know – we may not be so profound. Common sense ideas have always been around, but their sheer simplicity has always made them largely unembraced because most feel as if “I can’t be that easy”. Of course there is the other extreme that feels common sense makes certain aspects of life less convenient – and convenience always costs.

My site is based on minimalist ideals. A simple exploration for stripped down; bare-bones ideas that could either save or make you some money.

Your feedback is encouraged. Your ideas are valued. Your help in sharing this global message of simplicity is welcomed. Together we can discover ideas that can lead to less expensive living.
